(VIDEO) Nonprofit Empowers Domestic Violence Survivors | Healing & Hope | Chystal Pate

On average, nearly 20 people per minute are physically abused by an intimate partner in the United States.

That’s tough information to take in, not to mention an extremely sensitive and likely complicated problem to solve.

But, there’s good news…..

Chystal Pate has made it her mission to tackle this problem head on.

Chystal is the CEO and Founder of Healing and Hope, a nonprofit focused on providing support and resources to domestic violence survivors and their children, to bridge the gap between an abusive past and a better tomorrow.

A survivor of domestic violence herself, Chystal has first-hand experience and a deep understanding of the struggles victims go through while in an abusive environment.

Her courage to share her painful story, channel it into a passion, do work she loves, and transform lives on a daily basis is beyond inspiring. As Chystal says:

"I’m a survivor and I’m not just surviving, I’m thriving and helping others with what I have overcome."

In this inspiring episode of Changemakers, on Yippiekiyay TV you’ll learn:

  • How sharing your story (no matter how bad you think it is) can help define your life’s purpose and transform the lives of others.
  • How a fast 501(c)3 IRS approval led to the launch of new programs and helping people quickly
  • Chystal’s advice on moving your nonprofit forward

And much more.

If you’ve been through something and you know you can share your story and craft those experiences into an impactful solution for others…then this episode is for you.

There’s no question that life can be brutal. But Chystal is a great example of how those challenges can become opportunities and literally change lives forever…including your own.

In other words, your story might just be your biggest asset.

If you have friends, family or colleagues who would benefit from this post, then please share.

Thank you for taking the time to watch, read, share your voice….and maybe even your story.

All the best,

Cheers to your mission,

Jacqui Long | Yippiekiyay
