4a. SMS and mobile messaging

If you provide your mobile phone number and consent to receive text messages from Instant Nonprofit, we use that number to send you service and account communications about your nonprofit filings — including filing status updates from state agencies and the IRS, action items and approval notifications, requests to complete onboarding forms or provide documents, appointment confirmations and reminders, and direct replies to questions you send us, as well as marketing communications, including promotions, free training and webinar announcements, educational resources, and special offers. A single consent covers both categories and is disclosed as such at the point of collection. Consent is never required to purchase our services.

Mobile numbers will not be shared or sold. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties. The sharing described in Section 4 above does not apply to mobile numbers, SMS opt-in data, or SMS consent records.

We share mobile numbers only with the messaging service providers required to deliver messages on our behalf, and those providers are contractually prohibited from using the information for any other purpose.

Message frequency varies based on your account activity and where you are in the filing process. Most subscribers receive fewer than 10 messages per month. Message and data rates may apply.

5. Data retention

We retain your personal information for as long as necessary to provide our services, fulfill legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. You may request deletion of your data at any time (subject to any legal retention requirements) by contacting us at the address below.

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

• Access, correct, or delete your personal information
• Opt out of marketing communications (use the unsubscribe link in any email
